Plan It Green - Green City For A New Life!
The family of resource management games that has been enlarging with significant speed lately, received a new and exciting member - Plan It Green. Besides a very well-balanced and diverse game play the title offers a theme that appeals to anyone who is concerned about the state of Earth and our ecology - environmental protection.
What should a Mayor do? Fulfill his or her promises to the citizens! The Mayor of Greenville does!
When you are elected the Mayor of this polluted city which desperately needs some "green" initiative to make it suitable for living, you have no doubt about what to do first. So, once you have the power, you start to introduce changes that will definitely make the air in Greenville cleaner and the living their better - in the perspective the whole city will be the benchmark for environmental-friendly places. But you start from changing small things and develop your activity so that in the end of the 45 levels all the 8 districts of your venue will be the greenest possible and the heavy industrial smog will completely disappear.
So, the basic game mechanics is typical for all the games of the genre. For each level you have a number of goals to fulfill and some resources to start with. The goals may include, which is also quite typical, building a certain number of certain houses, adding a number of certain upgrades or researching some new buildings and raising a specific amount in taxes. As you can't sell or buy houses, as in many other games, you have the freedom to spend all your money and energy credits (a nice twist in the game making it more diverse and tricky) for improving your city and trying to earn five stars in each level.
The variety of structures and upgrades to use is amazing, while the ways of passing each specific level are not that numerous. All the buildings come in four categories - Residential, Parks & Recreation, Commercial and Facility. Each type has its peculiarities, each brings some resources and gives you some bonuses. You can also choose from a large number of upgrades, including "Going Green" upgrade that makes even old and environmental-unfriendly houses very green, or Thermal Paint and Eco-Garden. There are also District upgrades that will require first improving the District as a whole and then buying this particular upgrade.
The graphics of Plan It Green are also very elaborate and make you watch the smog disappear and your city going green with keen interest. Thanks to that and the perfect balance of game play difficulty the game is a must try!
