Puppet Show: Souls of the Innocent

Oh, it is just somehow so comforting and joy-bringing when you suddenly get another portion of something really good you had in the past. These are the first thought and feelings I came up with when I saw the sequel of the Puppet Show game.

Puppet Show: Souls of the Innocent is another great game full of creepy and dark puppets and events.

The detective of the previous game is now back tasked to solve another mysterious case.

Ok, this time weird things are going on in a small town. The locals just fall into a deep sleep, and there are these spider puppets all around. Think there is a connection between those two things?

The answer is definitely yes. The evil Felicia, who got out of your hands in Joyville, is up to something really bad stealing these people's souls. Just its predecessor, Puppet Show: Souls of the Innocent combines the hidden object levels with the adventure ones, plus items collecting.

You will go to search the town and the castle to find clues to Felicia's intentions as well as the tools to stop her. The areas that need your special attention are marked with a sparkle, but you can turn that option off to make it more challenging for you.

The hidden object levels are quite typical giving you a list of items to find. You will have to visit each location at least once. Most of the time you will leave a location with an item that you will use in a puzzle later on. The puzzles are very  different in this game.

Most of them are familiar to the genre fans, but you will still enjoy them if you chose to stay and not skip them as they are amazingly crafted. As to the audio-visuals, they are just fantastic. The scenes are drawn to please the eyes with their colors and the music fits into the general atmosphere and enriches it a lot.

The story being all so dark and macabre is still a perfect place for a hidden object fan. The game is so perfectly polished that you just can't help enjoying it.

Those who played the first game won't be disappointed, and those new to the game will be nicely surprised.
