Puzzle Hero - fight your way to the lost brother!
Puzzle Hero is a game which combines two genres which seemed uncombinable - RPG and match 3.While match 3 is a traditional genre of casual games, RPG is just trying to find its niche in the industry. And Puzzle Hero is a great example of a successful attempt to blend the custom and the innovation. And the fantasy and a bit childish environment makes the game really casual though you still have to kill monsters and buy weapons for your hero.
So, in order to complete your quest and become a real Puzzle Hero your first step will be, actually, to create a hero.
This process gives you a certain extent of freedom. You don't just choose a name for your hero, you can also select a hairstyle, an outfit and skin tone, that is customize your character and make it look as you wish.
Once you've created your hero and chosen difficulty level (Normal or Heroic), you can proceed to the first of more than 75 levels to fight your first monster. It will be the Green Worm that your Mom will ask you to eliminate from your garden. Yes, even superhero start from small insignificant tasks... But it's a great chance to learn the basics of battles before you encounter the Pirate-Tomato, the Gangsta Worm and other bizarre monsters that will be preventing you from finding your kidnapped brother Tristan. Actually, the monsters are so various and strange, that I wanted to get to the next level just to see what the next one will be!
As you already understood, your main task in the game is to defeat the monsters you meet along your way. But it will be done with the help of match 3 game play which is more than familiar to you, of this I'm sure. You will have a playfield full of items to swap and match. The situation in the battle will depend on the items you swap. Swap swords - and you'll attack the monster. Gold or crowns - and your profit or experience will grow. Certain numbers of shields and bulls will give your Super Shield or Super Attack abilities - great features, to tell you the truth. If you match 4 or more items in a line - you get an extra turn.
During the battle you and the monster take turns to match the items. If you manage to match swords, you attack and deduct some life points from the monster. If he does so - you lose life points. The round continues until one of you loses all the points. If you do - you have a chance to replay the level. If the monster is out of health - you proceed to the next one.
If you win, you get not only the gold and experience you've earned, but also those gathered by the monster. Use your gold in the shop or salon, as you wish. In the shop you are given an amazing choice of weapons, equipment and outfits, which increase your attack power or shield. Select whatever you feel proper. Some of the items will give you magic power - a real help in the battle! The Salon offers an opportunity to change the appearance of your hero - now for money.
You will also have a chance to go to the Arena - for neverending battle! There you'll be able to choose any monster you've already met and fight him.
Though some might say the game is not quite casual and there is too much violence, I would still recommend it to you. The graphics is very pleasant, all the monsters are connected with garden and forest, and there is no blood or something. And what is more important - the game is absolutely addictive and a good chance to let go your emotions!
