Sable Maze: Nightmare Shadows Collector's Edition
The Sable Maze series has just been updated with a new addition, Sable Maze: Nightmare Shadows Collector's Edition. It is one of the dark hidden object puzzle adventure games. This one has a good story and your typical CE extras. It is worth a look for those who loved the previous games from the series.
There is a bonus game where you get into a mind of a neuroscientist.

Sable Maze: Nightmare Shadows Collector's Edition is a game that takes you all the way back to the deepest memories of Mr. Reynell, whom you might know from the previous releases. You play as him trying to face his biggest fears in the nightmares that he's having.
Being trapped in a nightmare, you are forced to travel back in time to relive some tragic events of the past that are so painful that your mind was trying to suppress them. The nightmare world is full of shadow beings that are controlled by a Shadow Man that is after you.

There is a bonus game where you get into a mind of a neuroscientist. This short bonus story is not connected to the main game. The game's audiovisual presentation is just perfect for the story. The characters, the scenes, the music and the sounds create a great gloomy atmosphere you would expect for a nightmare.

While the game's story is full of thought provoking turns, you need to focus on the gameplay as well, since there is so much to do. The game is packed with puzzles (35!) and hidden object (21) scenes. They are not replayable, though.
You are offered an option of playing a Match 3 game in stead of the hidden object scenes but those not bad at all. You get several types of them that vary in their challenge level and length. Same goes for the puzzles. There is a good variety of them. Some of the puzzles come in easy and hard versions. Most of them are quite easy, though.
The game features four modes of difficulty, adjustable skips and hints (1-100seconds). You get a map and a strategy guide. There are 15 achievements, 15 family portraits and 15 shadows to find and collect. And you get some media extras on top of that.
It is a dark hidden object puzzle adventure game that will keep you busy for a few hours.
