Samantha Swift and The Golden Touch - Legends Come Alive!
Mumbo Jumbo, the creators of the first game about Samantha Swift, the bold adventurer and tomb raider, have released the second installment of the series - Samantha Swift and The Golden Touch. This new release preserves all the great features of the first one, but is significantly longer, which, of course, will guarantee you much more fun.
The Midas Touch? It's a legend, isn't it?
Samantha Swift is an adventurer who is on her next quest - a famous collector Chandrin Geber has funded the expedition to find the missing heritage of Alexander the Great - the Scroll of Wealth where all his treasures are supposedly listed. Her reward is the chance to take all the other found artifacts to the Museum of the Lost - and that is enough for a person devoted to science and history. But things are not that simple. Unvoluntarily she gave a criminal a possibility to rediscover the Midas Touch - the ability to turn things into gold with one touch. Now it's Sam's responsibility to correct her mistake and prevent the evil from gaining too much power - and she is up to it!
The tradition of quest game play from the first part is kept in the sequel. You will be
offered hidden object levels with a list of items to find. Some of the items are written in blue - this means you need to use a tool to obtain them. Tools can also be found in the screen.
The challenge level in the hidden object tasks may seem a bit low, as, first, you hve enough hints, and the number can be enlarged by finding quite conspicuous lightning bolts in the screen, and, second, you don't actually need to use them as Samantha has a scanner that will help you find the items free of charge. All you have to do to use it is click an item in the list and you'll see its outline in the scanner. As you move the cursor around the screen the outline will change its colour, turning red when you come very close. But, of course, if you want some challenge, you are not obliged to use it at all.
There are also some puzzle mini-games that are very diverse and much more complicated than the HO levels. Those who find the main tasks too easy will definitely enjoy untying knots and shuffling tiles.
As in the first game, the visuals and sounds are really likeabe and add much charm to Samantha Swift and The Golden Touch. So, are you up to the new adventures?
