Sea Journey -Ship And Match-Three Battles
Sea Journey is a new match-three game developed by Avreliy Games and published by Divo Games. The game takes you through battles on the sea and battles on a match-three board. By the way, the outcome of the former ones will directly depend on the results in the latter ones.
The main character is a son of well-known pirates. But he himself refused to be a pirate and decided to lead the life of a merchant.
Despite the intentions of this guy, the family roots still get him into pirating, when he one day meets an old man with a message from his father.
The constant pirate attacks do their work in this decision.
So when you are done with the story and had been introduced to the map, you start the battles.
These are the beauty of the game. You get a board with tiles that you are to match in three or more by swapping.
Above the board there are the sea and the ships - yours and the enemies' ones. The battles are going on simultaneously and are interdependable.
The tiles on the board have different items on them. The items you are to match are the symbols of what you get if you match the particular ones.
For example, there are bombs - these are cool because you shoot right away in the enemy ships if you match those. All of the items provide you with something.
Shooting practically destroys the ships. The level of destruction is shown in the bars at the top of the board.
And it's not like you are the one to shoot and to destroy and gain something. You swap in turns with the enemy, which is kind of cool because it adds an interactive part.
Between the battles you can visit the town to upgrade your ship in
various ways. By buying a larger ship you can use more trophy talismans
and the experience can be exchanged to improve the attack, durability,
navigation or trade values of your ship.
The game is a great experience because of everything it has to offer. The battles do make it more motivating and challenging.
