Shiver: The Lily's Requiem Collector's Edition

The Shiver series by Artogon has just come out with another chilling chapter. After Shiver: Vanishing Hitchiker, Shiver: Poltergeist, and Shiver: Moonlit Grove comes the fourth installment of the series. In Shiver: The Lily's Requiem Collector's Edition, you get to play doctor as you try to solve the mystery of a woman who was attacked on the streets of Blackwill.

Funny how the first time you return to this city in 17 years, things take a twist…

Oddly, as the mystery unravels, it becomes apparent that the young woman is somehow connected to your past. A strange illness took her mother’s life long ago and now you may be the only person who’s qualified to save her life.

The game offers a good variety of puzzles and minigames, and the story makes references back to urban legends that might be better if you’ve already played the previous three chapters. Many reviewers are saying this is the poorest part of the series, but we’ll let you decide.

The collector’s edition includes a bonus game in which you must break a siren’s spell. It plays in well with the nautical theme.

There’s a cool minigame in which you get to play Battleships with a mechanic (though only the collector’s edition is available now, this minigame should be available in the regular version). There are cool collectable pearls that as you collect will allow you to make purchases for your house.
