The Sinister City - Saving Your Love
You know the boy-meets-girl stories, right? This game is based on the same one, but with losing and finding her while the story goes on. Sinister City is an adventure game where you are to solve tons of challenges in order to find the wife-to-be. That may take you to the places you wouldn't ever go and clash you against the people you hardly ever would want to hang out with.
John comes to a hotel in search for a room and some information about Nina, his the one and the only.

You play as a young man named John. Somehow it happened that he'd lost his fiance. That's weird how it could have happened. But, anyways, he comes to Sinister City hoping to find her there. The place is all spooky and strange.
John comes to a hotel in search for a room and some information about Nina, his the one and the only. That's where he meets a local who is quite easy-going and ready to help him. He is not only willing, but he actually actively helps John taking him to some hypnosis machine. This is the start of the journey for John that eventually takes him to the world of the unknown, to the world of vampires in particular.

The graphics are not totally perfect, but are sure somewhere near to that. Some of the details really impress. The scenes are bright and pretty much detailed. That is allways a pleasure to play a game that looks good, especially if you play a lot of them.
As to the game play, you are provided with the same old mixture of hidden object searches, inventory collecting and putting it all together, plus different puzzles as an extra.
One of the nicest things about Sinister City is that all of those ingredients mentioned above are so gently combined that you don't get an impression of going in circles by playing every level.

Most of the time you will be ramblering back and forth in between the locations with some kind a task. Usually you need to find parts of something. And they are hidden quite well too, so you can be sure to visit some of the locations twice or more.
There are hints available for your use on a rechargable basis. Since the items are usually scatterd around different locations, like a suitcase or a wardrobe, the hint shows you an item you are looking for on that particular location. After that you go there and pick it up. There are also mini games that you can skip, but they are fun.
The game does look, sound and play very neatly. Get the trial version to decide it for yourself.
