Spirit of Revenge: A Test of Fire Collector's Edition
There is a new addition to the Spirits of Revenge series from Vendel Games. Spirit of Revenge: A Test of Fire Collector's Edition is a great hidden object puzzle adventure game with a terrifying story. There are a new investigation and a search for an artifact at the Wilford School awaiting you.
Everything has been calm and quiet up until now when Megan returned as an absolutely different person with absolutely different intentions.

You are called in as an investigator of a case at the school for girls. Something or someone has been disturbing the girls for a while. Soon yu realize that it is a revenge spirit of a former student. Megan lost her parents to a fire and tried hard to go on with her life. It wasn't easy for her to fit in despite her soft character and she didn't. One day she dies in an accident herself.

Everything has been calm and quiet up until now when she returned as an absolutely different person with absolutely different intentions. She wants revenge and she wants it now! But what or who could have caused her to appear and is there more to the story of her life and death. You are going to find all of this out as you play the game and uncover the story.

The game's audio-visual presentation is quite good. Some of the graphics seem to be inconsistent jumping from realism to flat cartoon-style. The videos are great though and add a lot to the atmosphere.
The gameplay appears to be more on the easy side for the less skilled players or those who are not here for the challenge but rather for fun. You get to choose from your four typical modes (Casual, Advanced, Hard, and Casual) and adjust skips and hints to your liking (15-255 seconds). There is plenty of both hidden object scenes and mini-games. But they don't just repeat themselves, you get a good variety. There is a map and a Strategy Guide to help you find your way through the game and all the abundance of ghosts roaming around. The CE extras include 41 morphing objects, 9 achievements, 9 collectibles, a bonus game where you search the school for an important artifact, and a lot of media downloadables, like music, videos, wallpaper, concept art.
This game is not going to blow your mind with its challenge or innovation level but its audience is going to enjoy the story and all the tasks.
