Top-notch Arcades
2007 is here. And we're pleased to begin the year with the good news:

Mumbo Jumbo(inventors of Luxor) in cooperation with Yahoo Games(no need to make any recommendations here) have come up with Myth Match - a new arcade experience standing on the edge of casual and core gaming. Download Myth Match now
Mumbo Jumbo, founders of Luxor game series, seem to have created an engine for producing top-notch arcades during the years of work. The number of downloads since the day of the launch of the very first Luxor version has by far exceeded 50 million!:) As other developers, they preserved gameplay basics of the ball-shooting action, but are adding more fancy graphics and features in each new version they release.
In 2006 they Mumbo Jumbo produced two sequels to the world-famous Luxor game series:
Luxor 2 - the second installment of LUXOR. A short time after the game was launched at the world's major casual games portals here's what we see: "MumboJumbo, a publisher of premium casual games, today announced that LUXOR 2, an easy-to-learn, yet challenging action-puzzle game with an ancient Egyptian twist, held the No. 1 slot on RealNetworks' RealArcade, the world's largest casual games publisher and distributor, for four weeks since launching on October 15, 2006". Luxor: Amun Rising - this game saw the world in the early 2006 and, though preserved the gameplay basics of the original Luxor, features more complicated level structure and more power-ups as well as picturesque graphics. Download Luxor: Amun Rising
In my personal opinion, it not always arcade game play that makes you play Luxor, but the game's cathcing graphics that you cannot take your eyes of.
Seems like developers specializing in arcades were doing their best to surprise the audience by the end of year. Thus, Alawar Ent. surprised everybody with the sequel to the famous good-old Magic Ball series. At the end of December Magic Ball 3 has seen the world.

By the way, it is to mention, last year Alawar also produced Magic Ball 2: New Worlds - the arkanoid with the childhood taste and colorful graphics.
As always, Big Fish Games Studio could not stay aside from the global arcade evolution and this year they came up with the second installment of Atlantis.
Atlantis: Sky Patrol is the sequel to Atlantis - a ball-shooting arcade-action game that aside from the usual ball-shooting game play offers a player to become the savior of the Earth. In the latest version of the game, not only you have to shoot all the balls on the playfield, but to finish up the doomsday devices. This can be done as you smash the multicolored orbs on the playfield. Download Atlantis: Sky Patrol
And last, but not least - FizzBall. I would call this game discovery of the year. This title appeared in autumn and since then hits the top downloads lists in the major casual game portals. Fizzball is a good sequel to the adventures of professor FizzWizzle - developed by Grubby Games. In contrast to the first version FizWizzle, which is a moderate-paced puzzle, Fizzball is a fun, dynamic and colorful ball-shooting arcade for both grown-ups and kids. The game idea is extremely original: you are not to smash, but to absorb the animals on the playfield with a fizzball - a magic gizmo invented by professor Fizwizzle. You cannot help laughing when playing this arcade. Download FizzBall
