Treasure Island: New Way to Search for Treasures is to Match Them
The game plot. When creating Treasure Island, the developers from the Nevosoft studio probably based on the idea that everybody once in their life went crazy about pirate stories, lost treasures, and dreamt of running into the chested treasure.
This is why wrapping up an ordinary match-3 puzzle in a shell of pirate adventure was definitely a good decision as it has by far refreshed the old and shabby match-3 basis with the funny fragments of pirate life.
Game rules. At each level you are to free the playing field from the precious pirates' trinkets. In order to do so, you'll have to bring three or more identical objects (gems, coins, pots of gold) together. Once they disappear, they are sent to the chest and release the cell of the playing field.
The point is the same as in any other match 3: you are to place 3 or more identical objects side by side by swapping them with the adjacent objects.
Quite ordinary, you'll say? Try doing this at a vivid pace to the funny music, on an abandoned island knowing that there is a skeleton waiting for you behind the bush.
You may create matches at any possible direction.
However, keep in mind that the game is getting more complicated as you play.
So, if in the beginning you're able to release each cell by creating one match, in further stages of the game you'll have to create several matches over the same cell before it becomes empty.
Moreover, you are to mind the "locked" cells that cannot be swapped. Get rid of locks by matching.
The only way to get rid of the locked cells - match the objects inside them.
In order to make your job more complicated and tensed, the developer has set a time limitation for each level in Puzzle mode. However, if you'd like to try out your nerves and patience, you may exercise in matching in the Timeless mode.
The time indicator is the rope leading to a powder-barrel. So, unless you want to fly on air, you should be quick!
Treasure Island Pros. This is the kind of games that is unlikely to get you bored and suits players at any age. I should admit a quality and bright design, sound and music of the game.
One more good thing about the game are the dancing skeletons that please your eye between the levels. It's true. These 3D dancers perform so amazingly, that I only cared to get to the end of level just to see a skeleton dancing. You won't believe: each time they dance a brand new dance.
