Wild West Quest 2 - Back in Time Again!
After the success of the first part of this hidden object series the sequel was released, and I must say it preserves all the advantages of the original game: diversity of game play,
perfect visuals, rich story and immersive wild west atmosphere.
Our past has strong influence on our future. Any doubt?
Then you should follow the heroine of Wild West Quest 2 in her new adventure in the end of
XIX century. In the end of the first game she helped put the main criminal, Black Jack
Armstrong, to jail, and thought that was enough to ensure happy future life for her Grandpa
Willy and the whole family. But she was terribly wrong - in two years the villain managed to
escape from prison and now is threatening to revenge Grandpa by killing his son Junior.
Unless the girl helps, Junior will be murdered, and Grandpa Willy won't last long with a
broken heart. So she doesn't hesitate a moment before using Grandpa's pocket clock and going
to the Wild West circa 1890. The task of stopping Black Jack won't be exactly easy, but
after it is completed you'll discovered that past can't be influenced that painlessly, and
your mistakes should be corrected. But I'm not going to get very deep to philosophical
problems or tell you the whole story before you see it by yourself. All that matters here is
that the story is rich and engaging, and it continuously unwraps around you as you play, so
new exciting events are always where to keep your interest high.
As to the game play, it's mostly taken from the first part, which doesn't make it any worse.
You'll have to search for hidden items in carefully arranged scenes, where all the items are
very masterfully integrated to the atmosphere of the game. The tasks for hidden object
levels are different, so that you'll have to look for items given as a list, a category,
silhouettes, pieces of a picture, differences and so on.
If you get stuck - use hints, which are unlimited in number but take considerable time to
recharge. Sheriff stars hidden in every level help reduce the time for replenishing hints,
so be sure to look for them - they are quite easy to spot, unlike some items that make the
game really challenging at times.
The game offers you two modes: Timed and Relaxed, and, as you can guess from their names, in
Timed you have a time limit and penalty for random clicks, and in Relaxed you are free to
take your time and just enjoy the puzzle.
The graphics and sounds are gorgeous, they fit the Wild West theme and atmosphere perfectly.
So, welcome to the Wild West for one of the most exciting quests in your life!
