Wispa Forest - Saving The Balance
Wispa Forest is a newly released hidden object adventure game developed by Two Tonic Games Studios and published by Reflexive Entertainment.
The game takes place in a fantasy world that was hand drawn and filled with all kinds of challenges for you.
The whole world is in danger and you are to save it.
You are offered to get into a magic fantasy world that is in danger. As it is typical for the hidden object genre and casual games in general too, you are on a quest to save this world.
Some unknown source of corruption is destroying the balance. The screenshots of the game in this review might give you an idea of possible sources.
You play as Lyia, and you will have to travel to many different locations that include forests, swamps, caves, mountains etc... She is not alone on her journey, but accompanied by her friends Ara and Hank the squirrel. The game is full of hidden object levels where you have to search for the given items.
Some parts of the game are match-3 levels. These are taking place at the end of the main levels. No other mini-games are there in this game. Which isn't that bad for a change. There are different power-ups to make it easier for you, though you might not ever need to use them actually because the match-three levels are not that challenging.
The graphics are all beautiful and airy watercolor drawn. That creates a great atmosphere and is a great feature for a HOG, but on the other hand it make the mission of searching the items more complicated. If the tasks become too much hard to solve there are hints to be used. The game is quite generous with them. The music is nice and unique.
The sequel is promised to be released for this one some time later.
