WonderburgWonderburg - Fairy Tale in Crisis!

Shiny Tales have recently come up with a totally new surrounding for the game play that becomes more and more popular - real estate strategy. Though Wonderburg presents no significant twists in the game mechanics, the graphics and story are very attractive and make the game definitely worth trying.

Ghosts, giants, dwarves? You'll find any in Wonderburg!

WonderburgAlisa is a young magician very concerned with the fate of Wonderburg, a land where magic is a reality. Together with her dwarf friend Rudi Alisa is trying to find out why are houses in Wonderburg being ruined, and what evil forces are destroying everything. Together with them you will travel along beautiful farmlands and deep forests and restore the wonderful cities - at the same time finding out the reasons of the sudden crisis. The story will unwrap around you all the way long, seasoned with great humor and a genuine fairy tale atmosphere. But before you plunge into it, let's speak a bit about the game play.

WonderburgAs I already said, it's a real estate strategy. On each level you will have, as you might guess, a number of goals to achieve and some resources to use. You will build, buy and sell houses and some other buildings, repair and upgrade them, trying to get the necessary income rent or number of certain constructions. The goals are different for each level, but they mostly refer to some quantative tasks. The time limits in the Timed mode are not really challenging, at least in the first levels, so I should say the difference from the Relaxed mode is not critical.

As in all such games, in order to build something you'll need, first, a blueprint, second, money, third, materials and fourth, workers (dwarves in this case). The resources are not ample, and sometimes it will take considerable effort to gather the necessary amount. One of the main game play twists are spells and curses. Besides being damaged your houses can be cursed by ghosts and witches wandering in the streets, and then Alisa needs to lift the curse with her magic. You can also build a school which will enable you apply some very useful spells, like "Speed-Up" for your dwarves or "Double Rent" for your villas in order to make your life easier.

The greatest attraction of Wonderburg are the graphics and animation, as the characters are really cute and the whole setting is amazing, I'm telling you.

So, will you be the one who saves Wonderburg?
