ZoomBook: The Temple of the Sun - The Journey Has Just Begun
ZoomBook: The Temple of the Sun - a fresh puzzle game from QB9. The game, published by MumboJumbo, is one of those that will keep you attached to the screen for several hours.
You are to time travel in search of a magic relic, ZoomBook. You'll be accompanied by two renowned anthropology professors, John and Linda.
You are to get on a journey with two most prominent anthropology professors. They got a mysterious chest with a map and made up their minds to time travel to the Mayan culture to find the magic relic, ZoomBook.
John and Lind are very determined to make their way to solving the mystery.
The story itself can not be neglected or separated from the play. And that's not a problem at all because it's actually quite interesting and intrigue.
Your task in this game is to bring the pictures, divided into pieces that get shuffled, back to their initial look.
You'll have to solve the following type of puzzles as the journey goes on.
Each time you get a picture entwined into the story line, for example, John lecturing to the audience, you'll have an opportunity to hear a new piece of information. Then you are given some time to look at the picture and memorize some of the details of it.
Your next step is to press PLAY button. Having done this, the picture gets divided into several squares. The squares get shuffled. So your task in this game is to bring the pictures back to the initial look.
No matter how easy it may sound, the task does get tougher as you progress through the levels. Not to mention the diversity of modes the game provides with.
This type of puzzles may seem not that difficult but don't hurry to think that you won't be challenged.
The thing is that the pictures get divided into a larger number of pieces, and smaller in size pieces.
Moreover, the game features five modes that provide you with a variety of variation to give you a hard time playing this game.
These are: Story, Time, Puzzle, Chaos, and Gauntlet. The Time mode adds time limit to the main puzzle. In the Puzzle mode you are limited in the number of moves you can make. And the Chaos Puzzle is a total mess - the pieces keep splitting into smaller segments, and you are not to let too many pieces on the screen if you don't want to lose. And in the Gauntlet mode you are to play one puzzle without end.
You'll find several power-ups to help you in this game.
There are a few power-ups in the game that are very helpful in solving the puzzles. The Clock power-up stops the time. The Plus power-up grants an extra move in the Puzzle mode. The UV Lamp power-up highlights the right position of a tile. The Exclamation Mark power-up brings the correct tile to the selected position. The Question Mark power-up gets the selected tile to the correct position.
As to the graphics of the game, it must be said that they are really neat. They look like scenes from a good cartoon. ZoomBook: The Temple of the Sun is a game to become one of the favourite ones.
