Lost Souls: Enchanted Paintings is another release into the hidden object/adventure genre. The game would then fall into the category of the more light games of this genre, rather than the creepy ones with many horror scenes. The story of the game begins with a mom and her son being delivered and strange package. When they unpack it it turns out to be a painting. They have no idea who sent it, but the son wants it to hang in his room. That same night he is being kidnapped by the very painting. The mom is desparate to find her son. Police and FBI were not very helpful, but a fortune teller provides a way for her to try and resque him. So that's when her journey begins. The journey will spread over several paintings. Each of the paintinf is like a different world, where you are to fix whatever demage was caused by the evil wizzard.
The title of the games says it all. Reincarnations: Back to Reality is one of the newly released hidden object adventure games. The game is totally Buddhism based according to the first part of the name. And the second part is about the problem of you being trapped somewhere in between death and life. You play as a young woman driving in her car as she suddenly meets a number of humal-like beings trying to kill her. Those represent different forces and at the end she finally leaves this world, but it is not heaven where she finds herself either. She actually finds herself in some sort of library (who would have thought, right?), but accoring to this game, that's where you go.
Of course, it is always much easier to create a game on a story that had already proved to be accepted and loved by many. Alawar Entertainment used the old fairy in a hidden object adventure context. Oddly Enough - Pied Piper is bright, full of many puzzles and interesting characters. Following the old story you find yourself in a village plagued by rats. Rescue comes from a musician that is hired to lure the rats away. The villagers agree to pay the required amount of gold, but then they decide not to. But isn't it dangerous to take somebody who was smart enough to trick rats out of the village lightly? Well, anyway the flute-guy is not going to be cheated.
This Friday is marked with another great hidden object/adventure game for the fans of the genre. Those who are new to the genre will enjoy the game too. It features everything it takes for a good game - challenging levels, search for inventory, beautiful graphics. Dark Tales: Edgar Allan Poe's - The Premature Burial is another game in the series known for their high production values. This time you are taken on journey to investigate the sudden death of Victorine as Detective Dupin's assistant. The investigation will be a success only due to your hidden object, puzzle, and adventure skills.
Awakening: The Goblin Kingdom is a game about the morning after. You are about to explore what had happened while you were sleeping. The game features a story and a goblin's kingdom to explore. The kindom is full of puzzles and all kinds of stuff to interact with. You follow the princess who was sleeping for too long. Okay, it might have been not her fault, but still. As she woke up all the humans were gone long ago. Trying to find out what had happened she went to the Goblin Kingdom. Things weren't that great over there either. Then the story slowly unrolls before you as you interact with the local characters and proceed in your journey.
