Mystery of the Ancients: Lockwood Manor is one of those games that will surey turn a couple of hours into a nice experience outside of the reality. It is one of the best examples of the hidden object/adventure genre games. There is an abandoned monor that used to be used by a group of people who knew how to awake the evil spirits and imprison them in the statures. Years later you end up going there because your best friend has disappeared and according to her note she was supposed to be there. So upon your arrival you find her enchained in a terrible condition. The other person who you find there is her very boyfriend. But then for some reason you don't hide, but instead you talk to them and that of course doesn't make you any good.
Today's release should please all the hidden object adventure fans. Strange Cases: The Secrets of Grey Mist Lake adds another game to the Strange Cases series. The game is all about the mystical and paranormal again, but it is very polished again too. This time around you join and her friend on their journey to a strange town with some legends. The legends say that there is a mist that is able to come down on the town and trap the whole place and its citizens, making them all disappear. Well most of the legends have their roots and they don't just pop up in the minds of people. This one proves to be true when Claire's friend disappears after encountering a ghost. That ghost girl on the road was the first one of many they are to interact with.
You have to like three things to enjoy this game. Those are hidden object levels, adventure quests and greek mythology. They are the three pillars of Odysseus: Long Way Home. The game is wonerfully polished in its many aspects. Odysseus: Long Way Home is, as it's title implies, about the legendary hero from Greek mythology, Odysseus and his struggle to get home after the Trojan War. At one point they were tired and wanted to be on land and stopped at which turned out to be Helios's Island. Also on their journey they ran into this witch Cice who turned Odysseus's men into beasts. Then you went into the underworld for help and so the story goes on.
There are games that just somehow have it all to be a perfect example of the genre they are released into. Drawn 3 - Trail of Shadows is the third game in the series of puzzle adventure games. It has challenging puzzles and an engaging story to jump in for a few hours of total fun. You join a grandfather telling a bedtime story to his granddaughter. You eventually get involved into this story of a boy who could bring to life his paintings. Things are great until you meet an evil wizzard who traps the boy in one his paintings ruining the rest of them.
